Network

Dynamic Net utilizes some of the fastest and most reliable Internet backbones in the industry from Qwest, AT&T, and Broadwing. This clear channel network consists of bi-directional OC-12 & OC-192 rings extending throughout the United States. The Dynamic Net backbone is a pure IP-routed network that does not segment into other services, such as voice or fax, meaning your data never has to share bandwidth with non-IP traffic. The network is designed to support mission critical non-stop web applications for both smaller hosted web sites and bandwidth intensive, high traffic e-commerce portals.

BGP4 Routing

Dynamic Net runs the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP4) for best case routing. Our entirely switched, Cisco powered network employs Cisco GSR 12000 class routers running HSRP (N+1 hot failover) to ensure that data can be routed even in the event of a router failure.

The BGP4 protocol is a standard that allows for the routing of packets of information sent out from the Dynamic Net Network. Each packet of information is evaluated and sent over the best route possible. Because of our redundant network architecture, packets may be sent via alternative routes even if they are being delivered to the same end user. Should one of our providers fail, packets leaving our network are automatically redirected through another route via a different provider.

Guaranteed packet Delivery

Dynamic Net pays our providers to make sure that packets of information are delivered to the end user's eyeballs. This offers significant advantages over simply peering with the major backbones. Peering agreements rarely include Service Level Agreements (SLAs) so no one is accountable for lost packets at congested exchange points.

Because Dynamic Net actually has SLAs with all our providers, we are able to guarantee that all packets will leave our network at full speed.

Bandwidth Utilization

The Dynamic Net Network currently has plenty of excess capacity, even during peak hours. This allows for us to accommodate even the largest spikes in traffic that are often associated with the most popular Web sites. We are always adding network connectivity and new routes in an effort to make sure content is delivered to your users as efficiently as possible. A low bandwidth utilization also allows for maximum up time, even if one of our providers has an outage ...just another reason to out source your server to Dynamic Net.

Facilities

Dynamic Net's Internet Data Center (IDC) will provide the physical environment necessary to keep your servers up and running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This facility is custom designed with HVAC temperature control systems with separate cooling zones, and seismically braced racks. The (IDC) also offers physical security features, including state-of-the-art pre-action fire suppression system, uninterrupted AC Power, 24X7 secured card access, as well as video surveillance and security breach alarms. Within the facility, we are able to deliver the highest level of reliability through redundant sub-systems, diverse local telco and Internet connectivity, fully redundant power and multiple back up generators.

Our Network Operations Center is staffed 24x7x365 so you are always able to get high-level technical support. In addition, automatic monitoring systems check your hosted web site or dedicated servers to ensure up-time status. The staff has tremendous experience in dealing with both hardware and software problems to ensure speedy resolution to a problem.

Our data center was designed from the ground up for performance, scalability and redundancy. In every facet of the network, redundancy and Fault-tolerance was taken into account. Every piece of network gear from routers, switches and firewalls have a redundant pair that can quickly fail over transparently with no loss of customer data or connections. Behind our edge routers, we feature a completely switched architecture for blazing speed. Our network was designed around a fully redundant, gigabit fiber backbone, with extra fiber pre-wired to each row. Our backbone has the capacity to meet any current possible bandwidth requirements, and the extra pre-wired fiber can be quickly implemented if the need arises.

All Dynamic Net equipment is fully protected from power outages by both battery backups and generators.

Our 24x7 staff uses the latest in network monitoring software to assure that a problem in the network is instantly detected and responded to.

Dynamic Net's network backbone has standardized on Cisco network gear, the world leader in Internet networking. Our servers consist of Compaq and Sun gear, running Windows 2000 Server, Solaris and Redhat Linux, all market leaders in their field.

The combination of redundancy in every aspect of our network architecture, as well as the best onsite service contracts available for all our equipment allows Dynamic Net to quickly and transparently repair or replace any failed equipment or services without interruption to our customers.

Network Operations Center

Dynamic Net monitors the data center and customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to insure that you receive service consistent with the industry and contractual standards. Our Network Operations Center (NOC)  manages the Data Center Facility as well as all customers located within the Data Center. The NOC is staffed 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Before arrival to the data center Dynamic Net requires a call 1 hour ahead of time to notify on staff engineers of your arrival.
